RACE 4: WANAKA
Feel the excitement of racing on a criterium course through the town centre in the evening. An epic swim in one of New Zealand's most scenic lakes is chased by bike and run courses lapping through town amongst an atmosphere second to none. The Friday night Contact Tri is a pre-curser to Challenge Wanaka the next day - so stick around to watch the long course action. Friday 20 January 2012 New! Didymo - Tri NZ works closely with the Department of Conservation to help protect New Zealand's lakes and waterways. Lake Wanaka has traces of Didymo, help us keep NZ's waterways and lakes free of Didymo by ensuring your wetsuit is completely dry before using it in another lake or waterway after the event.
